2019 Edge - Be the First to Know

The 2019 Ford Edge is on its way to our lots. From fresh new exterior styling, new center console design, added standard safety features, and the all new ST trim level the 2019 Edge has A LOT to offer – let’s dive in.

On the outside we see a new front fascia with a wider grille. The headlamps have switched to Bi-LED with Auto High Beams making driving at night a breeze. You’ll see four new exterior colors on the road – Baltic Sea Green Metallic, Stone Gray Metallic, Agate Black Metallic, and on the Edge ST Ford Performance Blue Metallic will be an option. 

When you hop in your new ride you’ll notice the improved center console. With a new rotary gearshift dial, more storage, better positioned cup holders, and a new wireless charging pad – your edge is going to be the most organized vehicle you’ve ever had. Everything in the interior has been re-positioned with the drivers ease in mind. Not to mention upgraded sound with the B&O PLAY premium audio system that comes standard on the Titanium and ST models – you’ll feel like you’re at a concert every time you’re on the road with this sound system.

With the 2019 model there are more standard features than ever – auto-dimming rearview mirror, front rain-sensing wipers, new rear camera washer, Remote start standard on the Titanium just to name a few.

Safety plays a huge factor into all of Ford’s new models, with the release of Ford Co-Pilot360 there will be more safety features coming standard than ever before. That includes; Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, Pre-Collision Assist, Lane-Keeping system, rear view camera, and auto high beams coming standard you’ll feel safe driving down the road.


Under the hood we’ve got a 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 Engine with twin-scroll turbocharger responsiveness giving you 250 hp ( 5-hp increase from 2018) and 280lb-ft torque. New on the 2019 is the 8-speed auto transmission. Smooth and quiet while being responsive, balances performance with efficiency, includes a sport mode for those days you want a little more from your new SUV. More new stuff includes the standard auto start-stop – can help fuel consumption but automatically shutting off the engine when coming to a complete top; active transmission warm-up – gets transmission fluid up to an optimal temperate to avoid friction; and new AWD disconnect – disengages rear section of the drive line to help reduce grade but will instantly reconnect when full traction is required.
