Ford Maverick Performance
The Maverick has two engines to choose from. The standard one is a 2.5L full-hybrid 4-cylinder that puts out 191 horsepower and achieves an EPA-estimated 40 city MPG. To help with fuel economy, the hybrid engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive.
The next engine available for the Maverick is a fuel-efficient 2.0L EcoBoost® that offers more power while not giving up too much fuel. The engine gets:
- 250 horsepower
- 277 lb-ft of torque
You'll also get the option between standard front-wheel drive and available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive with this engine.

Ford Maverick Trim Levels
There are four trim levels to the Maverick.
The first trim level is the Maverick XL. The XL starts out with the standard hybrid engine. In addition, you'll get standard LED headlamps and Flexbedâ„¢ capability with 12V wires in the bed that can power things like:
- LED lights
- Minifridge
- Small TV
The next trim level up is the Maverick XLT. The XLT builds on much of what the XL offers. The truck bed gets an upgrade with cubby storage and 10 additional tie-down spots so that you can secure any cargo more easily.
The third trim available is the Maverick Lariat. This trim has larger wheels with standard 18-inch machined aluminum wheels. You'll also get premium grain Desert Brown ActiveXâ„¢ seats and a stylish leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The highest trim level is the Maverick Lariat First Edition. It offers pure style with a black roof, power moonroof, 18-inch black wheels, and a distinct hood. You can also upgrade your tires to 17-inch all-terrain tires.

Ford Maverick Interior
The interior of the Maverick is designed to be both comfortable and functional. There is seating for five, where even your long-legged friends won't feel cramped in the back seat.
If you have sports equipment or valuables you'd like to keep out of sight, the standard rear-seat storage will come in handy. Just lift the rear seats to store whatever you need. These same seats also have cushions that make sure your phones don't fall underneath.
On top of comfortable seating, the Maverick has plenty of tech. For example, there is an infotainment system powered by SYNC® 3 that has some features like:
- Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™
- 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot
- Available 8-speaker B&O® sound system
