Ford Fiesta Indicator Lights vs Warning Lights

The differences between indicator lights and warning lights:

  • Indicator lights are generally lighter in color, green or blue, and they indicate a system or component that has been activated by either you or the vehicle.
  • Warning lights are usually red or orange, and they signify that a system of component is malfunctions, especially if the light is flashing.

Ford Fiesta Indicator Lights

  • Cruise Control Indicator. If you activate your cruise control system, this indicator light will appear to keep you notified that the cruise control is on.
  • Brake Indicator. This light appears when your parking brake is still on. Once you disengage the parking brake, the light will go away.
  • Headlamp High Beam Indicator. When you turn your high beams on, this light will pop on to remind you that you're driving with your high beams activated.
  • Shift Indicator. If you see this light illuminate, it's recommended that you shift to a higher gear for better performance and efficiency.

Ford Fiesta Warning Lights

  • Engine Coolant Warning Lamp. If this light pops on your dashboard, it's letting you know that your engine is overheating. You should pull over to safety and let your engine cool off. If the problem persists, contact us.

  • Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp. Your Tire Pressure Monitoring System will send this notification to your dashboard to let you know that one or more of your tires is low on air. Pull over to a gas station, if nearby, and refill your tire to the appropriate PSI.
  • Engine Warning Lamp. When this light appears, it's letting you know that there is a malfunction with your engine. It's recommended that you pull over to safety and contact your Ford dealer immediately.
