Ford Super Duty Engine and Performance Options

There are three engine options that you can choose from for the Super Duty truck. The standard is a 6.2L Flex Fuel V8 Gas engine that produces 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque.

The second most powerful engine is another gas option: a 7.3L V8 with 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque.

The most powerful engine for the Super Duty truck is actually a diesel one. The available 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine offers 1,050 lb-ft of torque and 475 horsepower.

The Ford F-250 Super Duty truck has a standard TorqShift® G 6-speed SelectShift Automatic® transmission when paired with the 6.2L V8 engine. However, all other engine options work with a TorqShift® 10-speed SelectShift Automatic® transmission with five selectable drive modes:

• Normal
• Slippery
• Tow/Haul
• Eco
• Deep Sand/Snow

If you choose the available Tremor Off-Road Package, you get a Rock Crawl mode, as well.

Ford Super Duty Towing and Payload Capacity

Each Super Duty truck has its own maximum towing and payload capacities. When properly equipped, the maximum towing capacity for the 2022 Super Duty F-450 truck is 37,000 pounds. With this much towing capacity, you can haul things like:

• Large campers
• Multi-car trailers
• Horse trailers

The maximum payload capacity for the Super Duty is found in the Ford F-350, with a total of 7,850 pounds.

Ford Super Duty Interior Comfort and Tech

The Ford Super Duty truck combines the comfortable and the practical. Inside the cabin, you start with vinyl seating, which is easier to clean than cloth. You also get standard black vinyl floor covering.

If you go up higher in the Super Duty trim levels, you can opt for leather seating and a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat with memory. The seats also come ventilated and heated in higher trim levels.

There is plenty of tech inside the Ford Super Duty, as well. The Super Duty comes standard with SYNC® tech; however, you can upgrade to the SYNC® 4 infotainment system.
