The 2018 Ford Explorer can accommodate any driver with its varying performance. The base-level 3.5L V6 engine can produce 290 horsepower. The 2.3L EcoBoost® engine adds 280 horsepower to the table, which reduces the power slightly, but boosts its efficiency. Drivers looking for top-tier power should opt for the 3.5L EcoBoost® V6, which delivers a whopping 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. 

Standard & Optional Technology

Drivers who enjoyed the SYNC® system will be happy to know that this vehicle carries the torch forward from the 2017 year. Not only does the 2018 Ford Explorer interior feature the SYNC® system with its helpful enhanced voice recognition technology, but it also features a few updates like the 4G LTE Connection with a Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing up to 10 devices to connect to the network with a radius of 50 feet. You and your family can connect while on a lengthy road trip so everyone can enjoy their preferred entertainment.

The 2018 Explorer also offers some impressive driver-assisting technology features. The options include a Blind Spot Information System and Rain-Sensing Wipers. However, one of the most talked about features is the Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support. This feature lets you set a distance, as well as speed, from the vehicle ahead. Despite traffic slowing down, the system will maintain the distance without required driver interaction.
