  • The Explorer offers three engine options: the 3.5L V6; the 2.3L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder; and the 3.5L EcoBoost® V6, which leads in output with 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque.
  • The Explorer is 198.7 inches long and 90.2 inches wide.
  • The cabin offers 151.5 cubic feet of passenger space.

Ford Explorer Towing Capacity

Considering the assortment of engine options available, the Ford Explorer towing capacity varies, but offers an impressive performance. • The 2.3L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder can also tow 2,000 pounds but pushes to 3,000 pounds with the Class II Trailer Towing Package.
  • The 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 can tow 5,000 pounds without any towing package equipped.
